3/29/2011 Globalnet joins Northrop Grumman's ITES2 Team

Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services, ITES-2S, is a performance-based, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract established by the U.S. Army’s Program Executive for Enterprise Information Systems and managed by the Army Small Computer Program. It is available to the Army and other federal agencies to obtain IT services, and solutions for the next nine years. The Period of Performance includes three base years and three two-year options.

This new contract continues the original ITES-EMS3 contract vehicle awarded in October 2003. A comprehensive range of IT services to be provided under ITES-2S includes information security, education and training, business process reengineering, information assurance and security, IT services, network support, systems integration, operations and maintenance, program management, and enterprise design.

Overview

NETCENTS is a strategic opportunity for us to grow a longstanding partnership with Northrop Grumman the Air Force in implementing global integrated solutions to meet NETCENTS needs now and into the future. This relationship provides valuable insight into the challenges the Air Force must overcome as they transform their current platform-centric infrastructure to align with the “infostructure” vision of Network-Centric Information Technology, Networking, Telephony, and Security (NCITNTS). Based on our Information Transport System (ITS) and Voice Switching Systems (VSS) experiences, we recognize that each customer site and its users are unique and that their individual needs must be satisfied within the framework of an overarching enterprise vision and direction.

 

NETCENTS Description

The Headquarters Standard Systems Group (HQ SSG) of the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) is seeking sources for the acquisition of Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) to include Information Technology, Networking, Telephony, Security (NCITNTS), Voice, Video and Data Communications to include (but not limited to) Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) products, system solutions and systems hardware and software to satisfy the requirements for interoperability, compatibility, and resource sharing of both Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE), supporting the Air Force's Global Information Grid (GIG) architecture. The scope of this planned acquisition is to establish an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Network-Centric Information Technology COTS products, security (firewalls, vpn, encryption and decryption, etc.) and system solutions (to include but not be limited to engineering, software development, integration, installation, testing, warranty, training, operations and maintenance), and the hardware, software and materials to design, install, support and maintain Network-Centric Information Technology, Networking, Telephony and Security (NCITNTS) systems.
